Obituaries

Shawna Nicole Forinash Eagle, 40, of Boyd Street, Clarksburg, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 in the Alleghany General Hospital following a sudden illness.

She was born in Clarksburg on November 28, 1975, a daughter of the late Colin Forinash, and Cathy Owens Gonzalez and step-father Joseph Gonzalez who survive in Clarksburg, and step-daughter of Connie Forinash of Clarksburg.

In addition to her mother and step-parents, she is also survived by her companion, Doug Hollister; one son, Chase Eagle of Morgantown; one half brother, Colin Forinash and his wife Felicia of Stonewood; two step sisters, Maria Kendall of Clarksburg and Christina Burnside and her husband Scott of Gregory’s Run; two nieces, Anna Eileen Forinash and Ashley Burnside; one nephew, Justin Burnside; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  She is also survived by her two pug dogs, Tara and Vader.

Shawna was a 1993 graduate of Liberty High School and a graduate of Alderson Broaddus College.  She was previously employed as an RN at Mon General Hospital in the ICU Unit, and currently worked as an RN with Amedisys Home Health Care in Parkersburg.  She was Baptist by faith.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 with Reverend Richard Wilson officiating.  Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contribution be made to the Harrison County Humane Society, 2450 Saltwell Road, Shinnston, WV  26431.
