Terry Brooks Sharp, 54, received his eternal healing when he went to be with his Lord and Saviour June 13, 2018.

He was born February 24, 1964. Terry’s positive spirit helped him to persevere and overcome many obstacles in life. He didn’t let his physical challenges prevent him from accomplishing great things. His faith in God was the source of his strength throughout his life. His favorite hymn was “It Is Well With My Soul”.

He graduated from Emmanuel Christian School in Clarksburg, WV, then Cedarville University, OH with a degree in Bio-Chemistry. He earned a master’s degree from John’s Hopkins University in Science & Technical Management. He was currently employed with IQvia research. Terry was very passionate about helping others in life. He devoted his entire career to the development of new treatments for cancer patients.

Though he resided in Columbus OH, he was forever a mountaineer and was proud of his WV roots. He loved his family and friends with all his heart.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years Paula Teufel Sharp of Columbus, OH; his parents C Brooks and Kay Carter Sharp of Old Davisson Run, Clarksburg, WV; his only sister Michele (Sharp) & Allen Raikes both of Clarksburg; nephews Jared & Kerri Raikes, Caleb & Stephanie Raikes, Matthew Raikes, and Jeremy Raikes all of Clarksburg.; a great nephew Cole Brooks Raikes; and a great-niece Lariah Davis, Ron & Kay Teufel of Charleston, WV, Dawn Teufel Elliott of Charleston, WV; Dr. Ron & Angie Teufel of Charleston, SC; nephews Nate Elliott, Ethan, Holden, and Brennan Teufel. He cared deeply for his lifelong friends Clinton Carter of OH, Dave Driscoll of OH, Don Humphries of OH, Randy Litzenberger of SC, Bob Lantz of Bridgeport WV, and Jim Mitchell of VA -all of whom he referred to as his brothers.  He was a sports fan and his hobbies included watching NASCAR, The Dallas Cowboys, and the WV Mountaineers when he was in the Clarksburg area.

Services will be held Friday, June 22,2018 at 1:00pm at the Bible Baptist Temple, 9436 Cost Ave, Stonewood, WV where Terry attended church when he was in the Clarksburg area.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm.  Burial will be at the Boring Cemetery Old Davisson Run Road Clarksburg, WV.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Victory Junction Gang Camp (victoryjunction.org) for children with serious medical needs or Challenger Division baseball in care of Bridgeport Little league (P.O. Box 951 Bridgeport, WV 26330) a local sports program for special needs children.
