Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Saturday from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm with Pastor Jim Sanders officiating. Interment will be in the Stonewall Park Cemetery.

Terry Dwayne Powell, Sr., 61, of Nutter Fort passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in the United Hospital Center following a long battle with cancer.

 

He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on August 16, 1958, a son of the late Robert L. and Mary Katherine Anderson Powell.

 

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathy Sheets Powell, whom he married on December 16, 1991.

 

Also surviving are three sons, Terry Powell, Jr. and his companion Erica Brown of Howard, OH, Charles Powell and his wife Elizabeth of Howard, OH, and Nathan Powell of Nutter Fort; four grandchildren, Dominic, Cameron, Axel and Shealyn; two brothers, Robert Powell and his companion Susan Johnson of East Liverpool, OH, and Richard Powell of East Liverpool, OH; and three nieces and nephews, Sabrina, Robert, and Brian Powell.

 

Mr. Powell was a United States Air Force Veteran and was employed as a dispatcher with WV Department of Highways. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.
