Tony James Spatafore, Jr., 67, of Bridgeport passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Clarksburg on June 5, 1951, a son of the late Tony and Kathleen Beto Spatafore, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Saundra Ann Talerico Spatafore, whom he married August 5, 1978. Also surviving are one son, Matthew Spatafore and his wife Jessica of Bridgeport; one daughter, Emily Heise and her husband Caleb of Bridgeport; four grandchildren, Matteo Spatafore, Nico Spatafore, Addison Heise and James Heise; two brothers Joe Spatafore and his wife Marilyn of Bridgeport and John Spatafore of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Diane Hannah and her husband Bruce of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Hailey Heise.

Mr. Spatafore was a retired glass worker with Fourco Glass and was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church. He was quite the story teller, often boasting about his hunting adventures with his father and son-in-law. As a proud grandfather, he always had a new photo to share to all he bumped in to…even if you just met.

Family was everything to him. Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 to conclude the visitation.

Family and friends will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the All Saints Catholic Church, 317 East main Street, Bridgeport, WV where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Chris Turner as Celebrant.  Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
