  Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.   Shinnston Rebekah Lodge #47 will conduct a service at 2:00 pm.   The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm with Reverend Don Fowler officiating.   In keeping with her request, Mrs. Plyman will be cremated following the service, with inurnment at a later date at the Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wilma Ruth Plyman, 86, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the United Hospital Center.  She was born in Clarksburg on October 20, 1929, a daughter of the late Edward Francis and Nola Coffman Wetzel.

 

She was married to Kenneth Edward Plyman, who preceded her in death in July 2007.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Charlotte Ross and her husband Denny of Stonewood, and Sandra Jean Swiger and her husband Chuck of Wilsonburg; two grandchildren, Jennifer Hardy and Brandy Hardy; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Leroy Wetzel and his wife Lou of Pittsburgh, PA; one sister, Karen Stedina of Maryville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bud Wetzel; and one sister, Rose Jenkins.

 

Mrs. Plyman was a retired Administrative Assistant for Frank Smith Construction with 20 years of service.  She was a former member of the Mt. Clare United Methodist Church, an active member of the Shinnston Rebekah Lodge #47 where she was a 60 year member and past Nobel Grand, and was on the State Finance Committee and a State Theta RHO Advisor.
