Family and friends will be received at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM. Mrs. Shiflet will then lie in state on Monday October 14, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 AM at the Sardis Baptist Church where funeral services will then begin at 11:00AM with Reverend Garry Layfield presiding. Interment will follow in the Sardis Cemetery.

Leann Beth Shiflet, 57, loving wife, mother, and grandmother entered Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.

 

Leann was born in Warren, Ohio on February 28, 1962, a daughter of the late Donald P. Turner and his wife Barbara (Smith) Turner who resides in Warren, Ohio.

 

Leann graduated from Maplewood High School in Mecca, Ohio. She went on to be a caring homemaker after marrying Bradley Glen Shiflet on November 28, 1980 who resides at their home in Clarksburg.

 

In addition to her father, Leann was preceded in death by her brother, Donald P Turner Jr. and sister Bonnie Fabian.

 

She is also survived by her two sons, Bradley Glen Shiflet Jr. and his wife Jennifer Brooke of Bridgeport and Scott Andrew Shiflet and his companion Zabrina Evans of Morgantown; five grandchildren; Aubrey, Carter, Griffin, Zenna and Austin. Four sisters; Debbie Robinson and Clarence of Georgia, Laurie Harvey and husband Larry of Ohio, Tammie Wilfong and husband Steve of Ohio and Michelle Turner; three brothers; Ronald T. Turner and wife Chrissy of Ohio, John Turner and wife Mel of Ohio and David Turner of Ohio, and many nieces, nephews, and loving relatives.

 

Leann enjoyed reading, walks with Karen, and her pets, but her greatest passions were her grandchildren and her church, Sardis Baptist Church in Clarksburg, WV. Leann was known for always putting her family first and enjoyed spending all of her time with them. She loved going to the movies with her husband and grandchildren and gathering with family for holidays and special occasions, as well as watching the grandkids at sporting events.
