Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, 1290 Fairmont Rd, Morgantown, WV 26501.

Joanna was a great friend and wonderful woman. I am sad to hear of her passing but glad to hear that in her later years she was loved by so many.

My heart absolutely broke hearing about Joanna’s passing. Taking care of this woman and becoming a friend was a blessing. I absolutely love you and you will be missed.

Ms. Griffin was such a sweet and loving person. She was my music teacher and choir director around 1980 at Philippi Middle School. She loved her famiy, students and music. Prayers for the Griffin family. May she rest in peace.

It was a pleasure to meet Joanna at Harmony in Bridgeport. What a beautiful piano player she was. And she would play any requests. Loved to talk to her about Philippi and her family. Will never forget her kindness. Rest in peace Joanna😢

Joanna Griffin has been a wonderful friend from Philippi to have for all these years. The Lord Jesus blessed me to have her and her family live a couple of doors away from my Grandparents. My Grandmother used to say to me "you are going to wear out your welcome" since I played in their back yard so much (as a child). Love Carroll Beth
