Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Tuesday, March 15th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a Prayer Vigil at 7:30 p.m. to conclude visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 126 East Pike Street, Clarksburg, on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Casey Mahone as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Anthony Fugo, 84, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2016, at the United Hospital Center, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Clarksburg, on August 28, 1931, a son of the late Giuseppe Fugo and Frances Passantino Fugo.

His wife, Lena Christafore Fugo, whom he married on September 2, 1961, preceded him in death on October 8, 1997.

Mr. Fugo is survived by one son, Mark Salfia and wife Cindy of Clarksburg; three daughters, Cecilia Wilcox and husband Lester of Clarksburg, Susan Abruzzino and husband Gino of Bridgeport, and Jackie Imperial and husband Joe of Scott Depot. He was grandfather to eight grandchildren, Mark Salfia and wife Jessica, Jason Wilcox and wife Crystal, Cory Wilcox and wife Tasha, Brittany Abruzzino, Christopher Abruzzino, Anthony Imperial, Alexis Imperial and Alena Imperial; and six great grandchildren, Addie, Jayce, Dominc, Dylan, Owen and River. He is also survived by twin brother, Jimmy Fugo and his wife Joan of Bridgeport, and brother, George Fugo of Belle Vernon, PA; one sister, Carmella Sirianni of Clarksburg; sisters-in-law, Virginia Christafore and Dorothy Fugo; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Malone and Mary Lehosit; four brothers, Sam, Louis, Floyd, and Julius (Joe) Fugo.

Anthony was retired from the WV Department of Highways Sign Department with 15 years of service. He formerly was employed with Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company and Fourco Glass Plant.

He was a veteran in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Broadway Boys and the Sons of Italy. Anthony loved Notre Dame Fighting Irish Sports, and adored his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
