Dear Kirk and Theresa and family, I have just learned the loss of your beautiful Anthony. We are so sad for you all. While I know there are no words, please know that your family is in our hearts, and we pray you find comfort for your broken hearts. Love to you all.

Dear Kirk and Family, Words are so inadequate at a time like this. When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. Memories are the legacy of love. Our hearts are reaching out to you in sympathy and prayer. May God comfort you and your Family.

We are devastated by this loss that you have suffered. Kirk, your family has been a part of ours for many years. We cannot imagine how you must feel, but you are not alone. May your faith and peace comfort you during this difficult time and know you are in our hearts and prayers.

Dear Kirk and Family, My heart aches for you. I cannot offer words to take away your pain, but I hope the image of the Sorrowful Mother will give you some comfort. You are not alone in the pain you feel. Even the Mother of God suffered an unimaginable pain when her son suffered so painfully on the cross. In this valley of tears, know that you are not alone. We are praying for you and Our Lady of Sorrows is praying and crying with you.

Kirk, Although we didn't know your family personally (you were our mail carrier) you were always great to our teenaged kids. I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. I can't even imagine the heartache and pain you must be going thru. Prayers are lifted for you, your wife and your children.

Kirk, there's just no way of expressing our sorrow for what you all are experiencing right now. I'm so sorry that this happened and you are in our prayers. I only met Anthony once and it was at a high school basketball game a few years ago. He had that same smile on his face and you could tell then that he was just a joy to be around. No doubt he was very loved by anybody that knew him and it makes this a terribly sad day for all.

Theresa, my heart feels great sorrow for you, your family, and all of Anthony's friends who have lost someone so loved. I came to the funeral home today, but could not stand in that enormous line...a line filled with hundred's of people there because of their love for Anthony and/or your family. What a tribute to Anthony! You all have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Anthony always greeted us with a smile, a handshake and a hug that inspires us to pay it forward. We enjoyed time on the lake with Anthony this summer and think he secretly enjoyed the jet ski way more than the rest of us because we waited forever for him to take our turn! Broc really enjoyed teaming up with him at pro performance where he demonstrated the art of holding the ball in true Notre Dame fashion. On the grass or turf, he was a threat. Bridgeport always knew he was going to do his job. Our cleats stopped and our sweat turned to tears when we heard that Anthony wasn’t having as much fun as we thought, and for that we are all in shock. We are thankful for the time we had and offer our sincere condolences to your family and all his friends. Heaven sure did get a good one.

Words can’t express the sorrow we feel from the loss of Anthony Cistaro. He’s connected with everyone he met in such a powerful way. Everyone who has met Anthony wanted to be his companion. I’m honored to have played alongside Anthony on the field, and be his friend off the field. Thoughts and prayers of support go out to his loving family.

There are no words I can utter that can ease the pain of Anthony's family and close friends that I can speak. I can only express to you that I never had anything but positive interactions with him. He was funny and warm and every time my path crossed with his he was smiling and he made me smile. The world is going to be just a little bit darker without his spark. My deepest sympathies and love at your time of grief.

Kirk I am so sorry for your loss and I know that there are no words I could say right now to comfort you. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Anthony but when we saw each other in Buckhannon fairly often you often talked to me about your children and their sports and their academics. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May GOD wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you in this time.

When I first heard of this I was in total shock. I didn't really know Anthony but I watched Cal grow up and got to know Kirk and his wife and the great and caring family he had. I can't imagine losing a child as we always hope to outlive our children. If there is ANYTHING we can do for your family please don't hesitate to ask. Our deepest condolences to your family and we will keep you all in our prayers. Joe, Melissa, Joey, Zachary, and Austin Teter

I’ve spent the last 16 hours reading posts on social media thru tears I can’t seem to stop. Anthony knew EVERYONE! And everyone he knew, LOVED him! Every single person said “you were my best friend. The one I could always count on. You always put a smile on my face”... he brought happiness to everyone he met. My hope is that at some point you will be able to read some of the posts, and see what an impact he had on everyone he came in contact with, and I pray that you can find some comfort in that. There are no words to tell you how very sorry we are, but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Your son was truly an amazing person. Love and prayers always, lacy and Felicia Bryant

Anthony can only be described as being beautiful inside and out. He was always ready to greet you with a big smile and a big hug. I was lucky enough to enjoy one of those hugs on Saturday, I will treasure that memory.
