Debby: Your Father joined the Rotary Club of Clarksburg on September 19, 1962, 2 years ahead of me, and I had the honor and pleasure of sharing those weekly luncheon meetings and Club activities with him until his retirement and resignation. His dedication was extraordinary in having achieved perfect attendance for 33 consecutive years. It was his smiling face and warm friendly greetings that welcomed members and guests alike from the greeter’s table upon arrival. I liked your Dad and was blessed by having known him. May he Rest In Peace.

Timmy, Debbie and Tanya, we are so sorry for the loss of your Dad. There is not enough room on this page to describe what a great man Charlie was. A dedicated husband. Hard worker. Devoted father and grandfather. Took care of others in our neighborhood...always there. Your Dad and Mom are back together. Heaven is a better place.

Leon talked a lot about working in the warehouse when he was in college and his parents shared stories about their friendship with your parents. Please accept my sympathies for your loss.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. I’ve had the pleasure of spending some special time with Charlie, either by phone or in person the last few months. I’m really going to miss him. I am so thankful that I talked to him last Thursday. I let him know, at that time, how much I loved him and what it has meant to me that him and Mary Catherine treated me as part of your family. It will seem so strange, that when I come to NV, that somebody else will sitting on that porch. I have very fond memories of the times I spent in that home. I am praying that God will ease your pain, but feel comfort, that Charlie is now with the love of his life. Love you all. Take care!
