To the family, I just happened on Gloria’s obituary. I worked at downtown Kroger from 1973 to 1978. Gloria taught me everything I needed to know about working in the Office. She was a great person and co-worker. May God comfort you in your loss. Thank God for memories. Prayers for all her kids and grandkids.

Rod, Monty, Kim, and Annette, So sorry to hear about your mother. She was a main staple at the pool and always had a smile. I'm sure there are countless memories to keep near your heart when thinking of her. Like my father, she died 5 days before her 91st birthday. My thoughts are with you all.

I left Nutter Fort after graduation in1963 but return a few times a year. I remember Gloria when I was growing up. She had Movie Star Beauty and she was as nice as she was beautiful. At one point she was a School Crossing guard if memory serves me right. I have a picture of her when she was young as a band member that my father Ray Kirkpatrick was in. I gave her a copy of the photo and we had spoke of sending it to the Newspaper but never did. You have been BLESSED to have had her so long.

I definitely depended on her alot. I always admired her. I know you all will miss her deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family.

Dear Rodney, Monty, and Kim, I am so sorry for your loss. I was blessed to have had Gloria as a teacher years ago and as my friend until the end. I was so surprised because I had talked to her on Thursday and she was so happy about starting her car and walking around. I believe she is at peace and I hope you can be too. Love, your old friend, Sheree
