In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, P.O. Box 4176, Clarksburg, WV. Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV, on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where the Trisagion service will be held at 7:30 pm. Mrs. Alastanos will be taken to the St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 1010 Factory Street, Clarksburg, on Saturday, April 4, 2026, where she will lie in state from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Father Stelyios Muksuris presiding. Interment will follow in the Elkview Masonic Cemetery.

Olga and George were my aunt Mary's neighbors on Grant Street and they took her shopping for groceries because Mary wasn't a driver. I still have her directions for making baclava in my recipe file. She always sent some to my sister's house. I think dietary restrictions kept her from eating sweets but she still made it for giving!

It was honor and my pleasure to be a part of Olgas life the last few years. She loved fiercely. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

My 3 daughters would have never made it to homecoming or a prom without Olga's exceptional skills! I loved listening to her speak with her native Greek accent and never passed up any of the goodies she made for the Greek Festival. Always so friendly and ready to engage in conversation!
